Major recruitment drive launches all over Ireland, as stores prepare for peak festive season and beyond

Domino’sIreland’s best-loved pizza company, is serving up 650 roles across the country, including management positions, team member and contract driversDomino’s already provides work for nearly 2,200 colleagues and contract drivers across its 86 Irish stores.

Throughout 2021, Domino’s continued to deliver a strong performance, and with demand expected to remain strong between now and the festive period, the brand islooking forward to welcoming a record number of new colleagues to join them.

Domino’s first-class store operations ensure all team members are trained in customer service and food quality, as well as on-the-job training for specific roles including pizza chefs. Becoming a Domino’s team member not only offers a fun role in a friendly environment but opens up interesting opportunities for longer-term career development. With 90% of store managers starting out as team members, these new roles present a fantastic opportunity for ambitious job seekers to enhance their skills in leadership and organisation.

Scott Bush, CEO of Domino’s Pizza Group Ireland, said: “Taking a job at Domino’s can lead to all sorts of opportunities; I started in the business as a driver in Australia 18 years ago and worked my way up to store manager, then franchisee consultant, before becoming a franchisee and eventually owning a number of stores as a multi-unit operator in Australia, New Zealand and the UK before taking on my current role as CEO in Ireland earlier this year. It’s been quite a ride and a real privilege to work with hundreds of talented people over the years. I’m looking forward to welcoming more talent into the business across Ireland as we prepare for our busiest time of the year, ensuring we keep serving our local communities safely.”

The festive season is Domino’s busiest time of year, especially around the Late Late Toy Show, which was the busiest night of 2020 and is expected to be just as big this year. Domino’s has also recently launched its first ever Christmas pizza – The Festive One – and accompanying festive dessert, scrumptious Cookies with After Eight™. The company is set to launch its first ever Christmas TV ad on the 29th November.

In terms of what’s on the radar for Domino’s in Ireland, Scott continues: “We remain committed to opening new stores in Ireland and we know there is appetite among our Irish franchisees to do so too. We just opened our most recent store in Liffey Valley and have two more nearly ready to open their doors. We are currently working on 10 sites in the next 12 to 24 months, these are all quality builds in premium locations, and at the centre of communities with safe parking for our drivers and for customers choosing to carry out. We’re not rushing this process though and our priority continues to be providing top service and quality food from each of our existing stores.”

The wellbeing of team members, contractor drivers and customers is paramount for Domino’s, even more so in the current environment. All team members are trained in Domino’s rigorous food safety and hygiene procedures to ensure hungry customers receive their freshly made, piping hot pizzas as safely as possible. Domino’s has Perspex screens installed in all stores, limited numbers allowed in customer areas and mandated face masks in store to ensure the safety of all colleagues.
