Overall Rutherford sits 27th in the Giants all-time points standings with 50 goals and 72 assists, good for 122 points in 112 games.
David Rutherford spoke with David McCammond, Cool FM, about his return to Belfast:
“Belfast is the only place I wanted to be and it was a pretty easy decision. We have some phenomenal players coming to the team this season. This will be one of the most exciting seasons yet and I am ready to get back to Belfast.”
“There was never a doubt I was going to return to Belfast. I love the city, the fans and the organisation – Steve Thornton and Adam Keefe have believed in me and I hope I can repay their faith.”
