Dalriada Festival 2016 – The year of Reformed bands, Debut Performances and Celebrations

Bagatelle are back, Andrew Strong’s Only NI gig this year, Q the Quo performing to celebrate Status Quo’s final ever performance on their last electric tour and Dolly NI makes a recovery back to the stage. It’s all happening at the Dalriada Festival on the 16th and 17th July.

Bagatelle announced their retirement a matter of months ago and soon found themselves missing their loyal fans. They are reforming for a special ‘One For The Road’ Tour at Dalriada on the 16th July as one of their 4 tour dates and the ONLY Northern Irish event.

Founder member Liam Reilly says:

After gigging for 38 years it has proven harder that we thought to stop completely, so we decided to do very limited concerts and Dalriada Festival is our only Northern Irish date, so make sure to put the 16th July in your Diary

Status Quo announced their last ever electric tour, so to celebrate a monumental 49 years since they charted their first electric tour, we brought Q The Quo in especially to pay tribute to their genius. They will celebrate their early stages and more to date albums to mark this sad news.

Donna Fleming will be joining Q The quo as part of the Dolly’s Rockin Country Club, after having fought an arduous battle in hospital. This determined as ever Co. Down woman was told she would not be able to do house work and certainly could not contemplate a full show. Her lasting legacy of over 40 years of performance got her out of the hospital bed and back to rehearsals, ready to debut her new show ‘Dolly’s Rockin Country Club’. This show is a combination of 4 Country legends allowing the show to be tailored so Donna can perform yet again.

Niall McLean Neil Diamond Tribute stated;

It would be irresponsible of me as a lover of country music and music in general to allow for Donna’s career to end early. We are excited to debut this new show at Rock The Castle (part of the Dalriada Festival) and Donna’s first performance since taking ill last year. This new show is the show that should have happened but never did, so we put it together and we believe it’s very special.”
