She has graced the catwalks of some of the highest profile fashion shows Northern Ireland has ever seen.
She has been a familiar face on our TVs, in our magazines and on billboards across the country for over a decade.
But these days, you are more likely to see fashion model, Collette O’Neill, on the other side of the camera lens, as she builds up a strong reputation as a talented photographer, with a brand new studio based in east Belfast.
Its been just two short years since the former graphic designer and model launched her business, Collette Creative, and since then the mother-of-two has gone from strength to strength. Her wide range of clients span from corporate organisations, PR companies through to fashion and families, with her portfolio of work expanding all the time.
Speaking at the launch of her new studio, Collette said: “I am so excited and delighted to be launching my brand new studio on the bustling Belmont Road today.
“I have had a ball over the past ten years, working as both a model and a graphic designer.“ she said.
“Both industries have taught me so much, and given me a very strong foundation for my business. Over the years I always took an interest in what the photographers and camera crews wanted.
“I absolutely love photography and really feel like I have found my true calling.
“It gives me a window on the world and a unique opportunity to record the diverse culture that is all around us.
“I have been lucky enough to work with some very talented people over the years and got enormous inspiration and support from them for this new venture.
“Belmont is a great location for my new studio. It’s a vibrant, up and coming village community, with great people and a wonderful spirit all of its own.
“There are lots of independent businesses in the area and it is amazing to be part of that community at such an exciting time.
Collette concluded: “I still enjoy modelling, but the future will be about photography and building a solid business.”
