In Dungannon
Sinn Féin councillor Deirdre Varsani, who chairs Mid Ulster District Council, spoke of huge shock in the local community, and huge concern for the families and for the injured child. She asked people not to speculate.
Independent councillor Barry Monteith said people in the area were dismayed, and called for a little restraint until the proper facts emerge. Rumours on social media, he said, do not help grieving families.
