Spoiler warning: this page names everyone who has left the Celebrity Traitors castle in series 2. We will update it every week as the murdered and banished contestants have their say.
Latest departure
Joe Lycett was the fifth player banished at the Round Table. A Faithful, he had made no secret of wanting to be recruited as a Traitor, and he now accepts that saying so so openly probably counted against him. He still leaves proud of his time in the missions, and of having helped point the finger at two Traitors along the way.

Amol Rajan, the first murdered
The journalist was the first Faithful murdered by the Traitors, in a tense face-to-face scene in the chapel. He called the whole thing “an absolutely unforgettable ride of a lifetime” and said he is already grateful for the experience. His advice to those still in the game: this early on, nobody has much information, so beware of big theories.
Richard E. Grant, the first banished
Richard was selected as a Traitor and then told the group he was one, a move he calls “catastrophically idiotic”. The room did not believe it was a bluff, and he was banished at the first Round Table, to a standing ovation when he confirmed the truth. He left with a joke: “The strategy of no strategy is the strategy.” He thinks Maya and James Acaster, the Traitors still in the game, can win it, and sums up his stay as “unforgettable, mischievous and lovely”.
Myha’la, the second banished
Myha’la had planned to be a Traitor, so being picked as a Faithful threw her. She decided to be completely honest all the time, and says she defended herself well at her Round Table. She told the BBC she is “built to be a Traitor”, and she would happily see more chaos in the castle.
Bella Ramsey, the second murdered
Bella had changed their mind and wanted to be a Faithful, enjoying the detective work. Bella was murdered just as they planned to start the next day with a fresh slate and a more open mind. Bella says: “I am forever Faithful”, and is rooting for a Faithful win.
Julie Hesmondhalgh, the third banished
Julie says she lost the ability to defend herself at her Round Table, and was so nervous that her hand shook as she took a drink. She thinks the Faithful should look in unexpected places for the Traitors, and hopes they can still win.
Rob Beckett, the third murdered
Rob had hoped to keep a low profile in the early days and make his move once the group got smaller, but the Traitors reached him first. He leaves pleased to have helped expose a Traitor and to have thrown himself into the missions. Of those still playing, he would most like to see Jerry Hall go all the way.
Professor Hannah Fry, the fourth banished
Hannah started the game as a Faithful and was later recruited by the Traitors, so she became the second Traitor to be banished from the castle. Both of her fellow Traitors voted for her at that Round Table, a move she said she understood because they had to look after their own positions. She is now tipping Maya Jama to win.
Joe Lycett, the fifth banished
Joe was a Faithful throughout. He had been open about wanting the Traitor experience for himself, and he accepts that being so keen may have made the others suspicious of him. He reckons Romesh Ranganathan is a strong contender to go far, with Jerry Hall and Joanne McNally as possible surprise finalists.
Who is still in the game
Thirteen players remain: James Acaster, James Blunt, Jerry Hall, Joanne McNally, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Miranda Hart, Romesh Ranganathan, Ross Kemp, Sebastian Croft and Sharon Rooney. Interviews with the departed players published by the BBC confirm Maya Jama and James Acaster are the Traitors still in the castle.
