World-class snooker is back on the Lagan. The BetVictor Northern Ireland Open returns to Waterfront Hall, Belfast, from Sunday 18 to Sunday 25 October 2026, and this year marks ten years of the event in Belfast.
Eight days of top-level snooker, a lively Belfast crowd and the Alex Higgins Trophy on the line. It’s one of the best-value sporting weeks of the autumn.
Ten Years of the NI Open
The official listing says the Northern Ireland Open has become “one of the most popular locations on the tour calendar”, thanks to its lively Belfast audiences. Waterfront Hall points to previous winners including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Williams, Judd Trump and Mark Allen, with the world’s best players heading to Lanyon Place to fight it out for the Alex Higgins Trophy.
The venue says some sessions are expected to sell out quickly, so if you have a particular day in mind, book early.
