Journalists from around the world have been spending time in Belfast this week, enjoying Belfast Music Week. Invited here by Tourism Ireland, the journalists have travelled here from the US, Germany, Italy, Denmark and India.
As well as enjoying a variety of musical events, the group got a chance to explore Belfast, with a visit to St George’s Market and a guided ‘Oh Yeah’ music tour of the city. Their itinerary was designed by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
Niall Gibbons, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, said: “Belfast Music Week, now in its fourth year, is a great way to showcase the vibrant music scene of Northern Ireland to international media, with so many fantastic events taking place throughout the city this week.
“Media visits such as this are extremely important, helping to build awareness of what’s on offer in Belfast and Northern Ireland and bringing the destination to the attention of music lovers and potential holidaymakers alike around the world. These journalists have had the opportunity to see, and enjoy, not only some amazing gigs and local acts, but also to experience the unique vibe of Belfast. All of this helps to reinforce our message that Northern Ireland is a ‘must visit’ destination with so much to do and see.https://lovebelfast.co.uk/belfastmusic-week/
