Bear Grylls Survival Academy launches new location in Ireland
In cooperation with the Bear Grylls Survival Academy the youth travel operator Camp Adventure is offering a new location in Ireland for their Bear Grylls Survival Academy Camps. Starting this summer July 5th kids from 7 to 16 years will have the chance to learn essential survival skills and to experience the ultimate Bear Grylls challenge.
The Camps will take place at one of the most prestigious schools in Ireland, the St. Columbas College, close to Dublin. Two different camps will be offered, one for juniors (7 to 12 years) and one for seniors (12 to 16 years). The program features all kinds of challenges combining survival skills with adventure tasks.

Camp Adventure is specialized in outdoor programs and activities renowned for incorporating an adventurous flair with nature awareness, teamwork and building self-esteem.
“More and more kids spend their free time in front of TVs, Video Games or Smart Phones. It is one of our primary goals to show kids fun and exciting alternatives outdoors. The courses of the Bear Grylls Survival Camps are designed to give kids the opportunity to get back to basics, learn new skills get outdoors and stay active, all in fantastic and inspirational environments.
Bear Grylls Survival Academy Camps for Juniors (7 to 12 years)
Taking place at the beautiful located St. Columbas college, in this one week course the youngsters will learn various survival techniques, such as fire and shelter building, navigating or outdoor cooking. A highlight will be the night hike, where the kids sleep in the wild and get the opportunity to try out their survivals skills.
Bear Grylls Survival Academy Camps for Seniors (12 to 16 years)
Also located at the St. Columbas college the course for the 12 to 16 year olds is challenging and exciting. The certified coaches will train kids in fire and trap building, show them how to purify water and how to build a raft or a shelter. The night hike will be a memorable overnight experience where every participant will be challenged.
For Bear Grylls himself the Academy is a matter of heart. The courses are designed by him and his close personal team. “As a father of three young boys I love sharing my survival techniques and watching them set off on their adventures together. It is not only exciting and fun but teaches them useful life and outdoor skills and what it really means to be able to look after yourself when the chips are down.” says Bear Grylls.
