Autoline Insurance Group, a world leader in telematics within the insurance industry, recently presented at the Uniglobal 4th Annual Motor Insurance Telematics Conference in Berlin, Germany on the 18 – 19th October.
The international event brought together a wealth of insurance telematics professionals, exploring the future of connected cars and the insurance industry. Autoline’s Head of Operations, Julie Gibbons, was invited to present on the local company’s world-class approach to the global audience.
Autoline was the first European company to link smartphone technology with a telematics-based insurance policy. The launch of the policy and app in 2012, now known as ChilliDrive, led the company to be hailed for its innovative advances by Insurance Times, the UK Broker Awards and NI Chamber of Commerce in recent years.
Managing Autoline’s telematics strategy, Julie has shared her significant expertise at four international telematics conferences to date due to the company’s successes in the field. Additionally, Caroline Currie, Sales Director at Autoline, has represented the company at technology conferences and summits in Munich and London.
The recent presentation explored ‘Promoting Product Value to the Customer’, a key focus of Autoline. Julie challenged the pre-perceptions of millennials and the view that telematics insurance is still relatively unexplored territory. Based on Autoline’s experience, Julie also shared what attracts the modern client and how to effectively secure customer loyalty.
Following her attendance at Uniglobal 4th Annual Motor Insurance Telematics Conference, Julie Gibbons commented, “We are truly proud to be market leaders in the insurance telematics field and to be invited to share the knowledge we have gained locally at an international level. We are continually pushing boundaries and aiming to improve what we offer our customers, and conferences such as this one enable us to not only share our expertise but also learn from international industry members from across the globe. It was great to share recent statistics from our ChilliDrive app indicating how our policyholders have become safer road users.”
Additionally, Autoline has hosted international delegations from the Japanese and Thai insurance industries, showcasing the company’s innovations in the telematics sector and its ChilliDrive app. The young drivers’ policy is a reduced premium car insurance that uses telematics technology to measure and score drivers’ journeys and contribute to improving their driving standards.
