Fans of all things retro and nostalgic rejoice – George Home by Asda has launched a new kitsch festive homewear range that will transport shoppers back to their childhood Christmas’, inciting a social media wide ‘Throwback Thursday’ epidemic.

The Instagram-worthy range means you can treat family members and followers to a taste of Christmas past with the kitsch and kooky selection on offer.

It features everything from bedding and cushions, to ornaments, crockery sets, glasses, mugs and tree decorations.

With the nostalgia trend gaining momentum throughout 2017, in no small part thanks to the Netflix sensation Stranger Things, Asda responded to demand which means Generation Z can experience a festive retro revival.

George homeware designer Natalie Ratcliffe is behind the popular new range.

Natalie explains what it is that gets so many people excited about the hot selling range, she said: “Nostalgia has been such a prominent consumer trend this year with unicorns making a comeback, retro TV shows and chocolate bars of our youth returning to shelves.

“The range was inspired by the demand for a retro revival, after all, what is more nostalgic than Christmas – it brings out everyone’s inner child.
