Asda Shore Road colleague, Matthew Haslett, has been praised for helping a customer who had an epileptic seizure in-store.
Matthew caught the customer as she was falling, ensuring she did not hit her head on the way down. He then helped the shopper into the recovery position and stayed with her until she was feeling better.
Matthew, who has worked at Asda Shore Road for eleven years, said:
“I’m just glad I was able to help out – I’m sure anyone in my position would have done the exact same thing. I was lucky to just be in the right place at the right time.”
“She was feeling back to her usual self when she left the store and I’m delighted she didn’t injure herself – always happy to help!”
Asda Shore Road General Store Manager, Kate Oakes, said:
“Matthew is very well liked amongst both our colleagues and customers from the store – he’s a very genuine and caring person and always has a smile on his face.”
“We often receive positive feedback from customers praising Matthew and his helpful personality – well done Matthew for helping our customer!”
