East Belfast darts hub The Dart & Oche is preparing for a very special 12-hour darts marathon this November, raising funds and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK.
On Sunday 15th November, from 10am–10pm, co-founders David & Amanda Blair will step up to the oche and attempt to throw darts continuously for the full 12 hours, joined throughout the day by members of The Dart & Oche community.
The cause is particularly close to David and his family’s hearts, making The Oche 12 event much more than simply another darts event. It is a personal challenge for David and his family, and an opportunity to bring people together, start conversations around prostate cancer and raise as much money as possible for the charity.
And everyone is invited to be part of it.

The doors of The Dart & Oche will be open throughout the event to individuals, families, sports teams, community groups and local businesses who would like to come along, throw some darts and show their support.
There will be no entry fee and no charge to play darts on the day. Instead, there will be fundraising buckets available for anyone who would like to make a donation to Prostate Cancer UK.

Fundraising is already underway in the lead-up to the marathon. The hub is currently running a Josh Rock signed bundle raffle at £5 per number, featuring signed darts, a signed darts case and signed shirt. There are also darts cards being filled, with further raffles planned for the event itself, including gift vouchers, hampers and other prizes.
Local businesses can get involved too
With 10 dartboards at The Dart & Oche, local businesses are being invited to sponsor one for the event:
£20 – Sponsor a Board. Have your business support one of the 10 boards for The Oche 12 event.
£40 – Sponsor a Board + bring a team. Sponsor a board and bring a team from your business along on the day to play for an hour, get involved in the marathon and have photos taken alongside your sponsored board and oche.
It is a chance for Belfast businesses to support an important cause while getting their own staff involved in what we hope will be a brilliant community day.
100% of the proceeds raised in the lead-up to The Oche 12 event and throughout will go directly towards Prostate Cancer UK.
David, his wife Amanda and the team at The Dart & Oche would love to see the local community get behind the challenge.
Whether you come for ten minutes, throw a few darts, stay for an hour, bring the kids, bring your sports team or get your business involved — everyone is welcome.
